On Tuesday, February 7th, 2023 the grade 4-6 classes have been invited to experience “Black History: The Music and the Message” at the Newmarket Theatre.
Glenn Marais and his band will lead audiences on a musical journey through Black History, that is captivating, high in Canadian Content, grade-specific, and sensitive to the subject matter. The stories and music are accompanied by powerful visuals and videos that accentuate and reinforce the messages of equity, unity, and acknowledgment of our history to grow and strengthen our present to create a better future.
Glenn Marais is a singer/songwriter/character educator who uses his music for healing and hope. He is a motivational speaker, performer and recording artist, with a passion for social justice advocation.
